Customer: Tim P

Car: 2010 Chev Colorado 4X4 Crew Cab 5.3 V8

Story:  Tim had a few requests he wanted dealt with.  As with most GM truck owners he wanted the torque management relaxed, the transmission firmed up some, and obviously see how much extra steam could be coaxed out if it.

Despite running 89 octane fuel, this truck exhibited the same issue as another of our customers Colorado 5.3 V8 ……..knock retard!  It was a struggle to maximize the power of this truck while keeping it running knock free.

By the time we were finished with the truck it turned out virtually identical results to the last Colorado 5.3 we did.  Through most of the rpm range it picked up a healthy 10 whp & 10 ft/lbs.  Peak power went up 6 whp & 5 Ft/lbs.

Stock vs. Tuned

Most importantly though the truck drives much better now!!
